Life just doesn't get any better than doing this book.
First, I got to wander all over Oregon's wine country to photograph scenic vineyard views, architecturally interesting wineries and amazing people.
But it didn't stop there. I was honored to have interviewed about 100 winemakers, owners, vineyard managers and workers. These people ranged from Oregon's wine pioneers to the newbies. In the end, I had interviews so personal that I asked repeatedly if I could publish them, even after they already said yes.
The final product is an one-of-a-kind oral history combined with a lush photographic tour of Oregon wine.
It even won a handful of awards, including:
• Gold medal for Best Regional Book in North America.
• Wine Spectator magazine called it: "One of the best reads for wine lovers."
• Internationally, Gormand named it one of the best books about New World Wine.
