A Black and White Picture

After returning from 5 weeks with the Omo tribes on my first Ethiopia trip, I gave a Power Point presentation on African myths and dreams at a local University.

After the show, some American-born black college students walked into my face to test me:
“What do YOU know of Africa?”
The question was directed at the color of my skin. They were young and black. I was just white.
“Have you been there?” I inquired.
“No.”
